Data Import Using the Data Mirror (DM) for Peachtree: Although the Data Mirror for Peachtree does not do imports, its library includes the handlers needed to do imports, so we have prepared a VB.NET Sales Order template with all the source code & constructs needed to import batch xml Sales Orders.

This template is available to you through an annual subscription service. It’s just the first of the templates we’re creating for importing to other Peachtree/Sage tables.

The Sales Order Template

• This template is intended for the programmer tasked with importing batches of xml sales orders (or other transactions) from and external source into Sage50/Peachtreee.
• The template shows how to interact with the Data Mirror library to do any journal or lookup imports.
• It also shows how to place Audit Trail records in Sage 50/Peachtree so that the Data Mirror will export the batched transactions.
• The template is provided in a Visual Studio project. A programmer of moderate VB.Net skills can use the template as a guide to import data into almost all of the Sage 50/Peachtree tables.
  • This is NOT intended to replace the Sage 50/Peachtree user interface.
• IMPORTANT the template only addresses Sales Orders, it is only a guide to doing other imports.
